Project Details
Halle Orchestra / St.Peter is a grade 2 listed church situated in Ancoats Manchester.
Working hand in hand with both the architect (Stephenson Studio) and the acoustic architect (Arup) we were challenged with making this project easy on the eye and easy on the ear.
The world renowned Halle orchestra would except nothing but the very best for their new state of the art rehearsal space and seamlessly connecting the old church to the new rehearsal space whilst upholding the very best acoustics was a challenge we met head on.

The main rehearsals rooms very low acoustic rating requirement demands the internal wall and floor construction to be designed as a box in box construction, by doing this you eliminate and sound transmission that may be picked up on music recordings.
